Robby Markose

Founder & Managing Partner

Robby Markose is a former Partner of Samson Investment Partners (SIP).  He began his career with SIP in 2009 and directed and managed the firm’s private equity investments from 2014 to 2021.  In his role at the firm, he served on various boards across the portfolio.  Before joining SIP, Robby worked at J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc. from 2004 to 2007, where he helped advise technology companies on a wide range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, leveraged buyouts, and management buyouts.

 

Robby received his Bachelor of Business Administration, summa cum laude, from The University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Drew Poley

Founder & Partner

Drew Poley is a former Principal of Samson Investment Partners (SIP).  He began his career with SIP in 2018 and managed the firm’s private equity investments.  During his tenure at the firm, Drew served in various board roles across the portfolio.  Prior to joining SIP, Drew spent ten years at KPMG LLP in both the audit and transaction advisory practices.  As a Director in the advisory practice, he managed both buy-side and sell-side engagements for private equity and corporate clients.  Typical services included transaction structuring, underlying financial analysis, industry trend assessment, KPI development, and business performance evaluation for both domestic and international clients.

 

Drew received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Accountancy with distinction from The University of Oklahoma and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Jackie Walker

Principal

Jackie Walker is a Principal at Samson Capital Group.  Prior to joining SCG, Jackie spent eight years at KPMG LLP in both the audit and transaction advisory practices and two years at Houlihan Lokey in its transaction advisory services group.  Most recently, in her capacity as Senior Vice President at Houlihan Lokey, she managed both buy-side and sell-side engagements primarily for private equity clients.  She actively provided a diverse array of services including quality of earnings, net working capital and indebtedness analysis, transaction structuring, underlying financial analysis, and business performance evaluation.

 

Jackie graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting from Southern Methodist University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Roy Zuckerberg   Founder & Senior Advisor

Roy Zuckerberg is a Senior Partner of SIP. In addition, he is a Senior Director of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. after having retired in November of 1998 as Vice Chairman of the Firm, a member of the Executive Committee, and head of the Equities Division. He joined the firm in 1967 and in 1976 became a General Partner.

 

Roy is former Chairman of the Board of Trustees and presently a member of the Executive Committee of Northwell Health, formerly North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, Inc.

 

Roy is past Chairman of the Board of Governors of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel where he served from 2004 to 2012. Roy is also Honorary Chairman of the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research. In 2009, he received an honorary doctoral degree from Ben-Gurion University.

 

Roy is a Trustee of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and is a Director of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. He chaired the investment committee of the University of Massachusetts Foundation from 2000 to 2009.

 

Roy received a B.S. from Lowell Technological Institute, University of Massachusetts in 1958. The University of Massachusetts has honored him with their Distinguished Alumni Award, a doctor of humane letters, and the President’s Medal.
